What is your Outook for Mac version 2011 or 2016? On your menu bar, click Outlook, Click About Outlook. Check if you haven't selected U.S. Holidays when you create a new appointment. I found that the latest holidays are missing from my calendar. I checked for updates but none are there and manually trying to install the latest holiday updates gives an error that the update is already installed or does not apply to my system.
How can I get the latest holidays to show up?
After applying updates that contain new holiday information, the newly included holidays are not directly added to your Calendar. You'll have to reselect the option to include the holidays for a specific country in your Calendar.
Each version of Outlook includes holidays you can add to your calendar by going to Tools, Options, Calendar options, Holidays. Select the country (or countries) that has the holidays you want on your calendar and import. If you use a version of Outlook longer than 3 years or so, you'll need to find an alternate source for holidays. As of just yesterday, I have all of these new islamic, jewish, muslim and other holidays showing up in my calendar under the US Holidays. Things like Eid-Al-Fitr, Ramadan, Holi, etc. I haven't changed anything and I've looked in my files, extensions, settings, etc. To make sure that nothing has gotten installed without my permission. Click File Options to open the Outlook Options dialog box. In the Outlook Options dialog box, click Calendar in the left bar, and then click the Add Holidays button in the Calendar options section.
To prevent duplicates, it is recommended that you delete the currently imported holidays from your Calendar before importing the holidays again.
Remove current holidays
The easiest way to remove previously imported holidays from your Calendar is via the 'By Category' view;

Now you can easily select all the items that have the Holiday category (by clicking on the Holiday group header) and delete them all at once. If you use SHIFT+Delete to delete them, you'll skip the Delete Items folder and permanently delete them.
Deleting all Holidays at once is easy via a By Category sorted view.
Import new holidays
To import the new holidays you can reselect the option for the holidays of your country in the Add Holidays… dialog;

Note: The standalone hol-file can be used with all Outlook versions and not just Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 as the download page might suggest. See below for more information on how to import the holidays included in the hol-file.
Manual holiday updates (hol- files)
Outlook holiday files have the .hol extension. If you have an updated hol-file that you wish to use with Outlook, then you can simply double click it to to launch the 'Add Holidays to Calendar' dialog. You can use this method for instance to import holiday updates or custom holidays or vacation lists provided by your company.
When you create a hol-file of your own, make sure you save it in the Unicode format (use the Save As… option when using Notepad).
When you have an updated holidays file (.hol),
you can double click on it to directly open it with
Outlook and select which holidays to import.
Replacing the current hol-file of Outlook
If you want it to replace the holidays list of Outlook, then you can overwrite the outlook.hol file that is located in the language ID folder of the Office installation directory.

How to add holidays into default/second/public calendars in Outlook?
Does your calendar contain the holidays of your country in Outlook? Actually, you can quickly add all holidays of specified countries into default calendar in bulk, and copy the holidays to the second/public/all calendars easily.
Add holidays in the default calendar in Outlook
To add holidays of the specified country into the default calendar in Outlook, please do as follows:
1. Click File > Options to open the Outlook Options dialog box.

Add holidays in the second second/public/all calendars in Outlook
As we mentioned above, the Add Holidays feature can add holidays to the default calendars. However, if you need to add holidays to the second or others calendars, please achieve it with below steps:
Note: This method requires you have added holidays to the default calendar in Outlook.
1. In the Calendar view, click to open the default calendar, and then click View > Change View > List. See screenshot:
2. Click View > Categories in the Arrangement group to sort all calendar items by categories. See screenshot:
3. Select the category name of Holiday, right click, and select Move > Copy to Folder from the context menu. See screenshot:
4. In the opening Copy Items dialog box, please select the destination calendar you will copy the holidays to, and click the OK button.
5. Now a warning Microsoft Outlook dialog box comes out as below screenshot shown. Please click the OK button to go ahead.
Now all holidays are copying to the destination calendar in bulk. If you can add items in public calendars, you can also copy the holidays to the public calendar with the same way.
